1. 1 1/2 pound ground beef or pork or chicken

3. 1/4 cup onion, chopped
4. 1 teaspoon salt or less
5. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
6. 1 cup tomato juice or milk or tomato ketchup
7. 1 egg, beaten

1.Combine all ingredients and pack firmly into an ungreased loaf pan.
Or Just shape into 1 or 2 long loaf on a baking tray, about 2 1/2 inches high
2.Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
3.Optional Topping - your favourite tomato sauce.
Serve with baked potatoes and salad.
You can also use rolled oats or other types of oats.
Can also add chopped carrots and apples
